One of our favorite activities during the exam week is a relaxed movie night of course. During this movie night we will be watching ‘Cidade de Deus’! ‘Cidadadeda de what!?’ you might ask, ‘Ci-da-de de Deus’. Also known as ‘City of God’. This high paced movie about a young aspiring photographer in the slums of Rio de Janeiro, has some beautiful cinematography, but also especially good editing. It manages to make a story with dozens of characters easy to follow and puts you on the edge of your seat. Stick around after the movie to discuss this epic piece of cinema.
