DESCRIPTION:We kick off our Open Culture Week with a picture hunt. Get ready to explore the TU/e campus in search for the perfect picture. You will receive multiple photo-related challenges that you will have to try to complete to the best of your photographic abilities. What might these challenges be? Who knows? Everything is possible with the DM Picture Hunt! Most of these challenges can be completed with just the camera on your phone\, so don’t worry about not having a proper camera for joining. We can also provide some gear if needed. The activity starts at the DM studio\, from where will spread out to complete our challenges. Join in on the fun on Monday the 9th of September!

SUMMARY:OCW: Steelwool Spinning (Open Activity)
DESCRIPTION:Returning for this Open Culture Week again is a DM classic: Steelwool Spinning. We are back with some sparks to light up the night sky at TU/e. We will use long exposure techniques to capture the arcs these sparks make to create some stunning visuals. Our experienced spinners will be there to light up the stage for you. It is up to you to take the shot. Remember to bring a tripod if you have one\, otherwise you can borrow one from DM. We will aslo provide cameras for those who need it. And if this isn’t  enough to convince you to join\, we will throw a little extra in the program. What is it you may ask? Well that’s a secret. The only way to figure out is to join us on Tuesday Spetember 10th. We will gather at the DM studio and will continue to head outside for the actual event. Hope to see you there!

DESCRIPTION:For our final Open Culture Week activity we will organise a B-Roll evening. B-Roll is all about making quick and snappy cut and transitions in your video. During this activity we will use DM’s Blackmagic video camera to record short B-Roll videos. We will teach you several different cuts and transitions as well as how to approach the recording for them. But using prisms\, mirrors\, and funky glass textures; you can create all sorts of interesting patterns and colors with just a standard flashlight. DESCRIPTION:It is time! Now that we have kicked off the start of the new academic year\, we look forward to the first General Members Meeting (or GMM for short) of the year. This is a great moment to look back at all of our achievements over tha last year as well as presenting our plans for upcoming year. And the first GMM of the year is always extra special\, as we will present the next board of DM. After a year of hard work\, Board 53: Fool’s Focus will be stepping down and make way for the new Board 54. Who will be part of it? Well you will have to join to find out. Our lovely chairman has sent all of our members an email with the important information about what will be discussed. For this GMM we will go back to our roots and host it in the studio.
