It’s the perfect chance to learn how to communicate to your subjects what works and what doesn’t\, learn how to be more comfortable in front of a camera and of course to get some good instagram pictures taken. We will have a few locations on campus\, including a portable studio with professional lightning\, so come take advantage of this opportunity! For experienced photgrapher this is a really nice chance to express some creative ideas you still wanted to try and for beginners this is also a very good chance to learn more about working with a studio set-up. You can bring your own camera\, but there will already be at least one available per group\, so you can still join without one. We will gather at 20:00 in front of Luna!

This evening a workshop in Lightroom will be given by Levi Baruch. Lightroom is a program that lets you edit your photos. You will learn the basics (filtering\, the meaning of sliders\, contrast\, exporting\, shooting raw) and the thinking process of editing overall. It can be interesting for intermediate levels as well! This activity will help you understand the fundamental things of editing photos and gives you the chance to create your own style of editing\, which can make your photos even more unique\, creative and beautiful!

Although the name is somewhat misleading in a way\, because we’re not going to take pictures of the pavement but of things on the street. \nStreet photography is easy to pick up\, yet sometimes hard to execute. However\, very interesting for beginning photographers and the masters of the craft. \nIf you are somewhat shy to talk to strangers\, this is the workshop for you! \nIn this workshop Alesander Aydin will go through all the do’s and don’ts and tips and tricks before going through the streets of Eindhoven centrum to take our own pictures. We will split up in small groups so that everyone can perform this exercise (with at least every group one camera. If you have your own camera bring it with you! Smartphones are not really suitable for this activity\, but it is possible). The focus lays on: getting over the fear of using a camera on the street and communicating with strangers\, using your camera quickly\, being creative\, some camera settings\, and lots of “just do it”!

DESCRIPTION:The summer holiday is coming and to already get some summer vibes\, this month the ‘Schatje in Turkije’ activity (means babe in Turkey) will take place. During the activity we will practice on how to make the best holiday pictures with a little cringe twist to it. The activity will take place in the studio where we will make photos with a greenscreen\, so you can edit them so they can turn out as beautiful as in the examples. If you don’t have experience with photoshop this is also the perfect opportunity to learn a little more on how to use this program. Next to the ‘Schatje in Turkije’ photos you can of course use the greenscreen\, some summer props and your creativity to create really cool and funny summer related pictures. Next to making pictures this activity is also meant just to socialize and have a nice drink. Hopefully we will see you on the 21st!

DESCRIPTION:On Tuesday evening on the 31st of May we plan to head out again for some landscape photography. Together we will go to the heather and take some pictures as the sun sets. We will meet at the university at 20:00 sharp and take the bike to our destination\, which is the “Stratumse Heide.” Be sure to be on time because the sun will not wait on us to go down! Hopefully the weather will be in our favour so we can capture some beautiful images\, but it could be that we have to organise a different activity. DESCRIPTION:On the 5th of April we will gather in front of the Luna building for this activity. We will set out together to create time- and hyperlapses in Eindhoven. Timelapses are made by viewing the film frames of your video at a faster rate than what they were recorded at. Hyperlapses work with the same principle\, only then the camera is moved between each frame. DESCRIPTION:The idea of double exposure comes from analog photography\, where you basically take two pictures without moving the film. This way the two image will be overlayed\, which can create a very interesting\, confusing or dreamy effect. Even if you shoot digital\, the same effect can be simulated using Photoshop. On this evening\, we will gather at the DM studio with lights\, props and people to photograph. We will give some basic instructions for editing\, so you can already get started with Photoshop if you feel like it. To commemorate the liberation of Eindhoven at the end of the second World War\, a route has been created which is decorated by beautiful works of art using lights. DESCRIPTION:We decided to continue the activities during the exam weeks as an exception\, because we loved to have more offline activities this year!\nStreet photography is an easy to pickup yet sometimes hard to execute training in photography. However\, very interesting for beginning photographers and the masters of the craft.\nIf you are somewhat shy to talk to strangers or people you don’t know this is the workshop for you!\nIn this workshop we will go through all the do’s and don’ts and tips and tricks before going through the streets of Eindhoven centrum to take our own pictures.
