DESCRIPTION:Tuesday the 9th of November we will be going outside to capture Eindhoven’s annual light-art festival GLOW. What better way to have some distraction from your exams than walking or biking around the city and enjoy the beautiful art works? We will meet in front of Luna at 20:00 and from there go to different locations\, so make sure you are on time! If you have a tripod (and a camera of course)\, bring it with you! DESCRIPTION:As the days get shorter and shorter\, we start to turn on the lights! To commemorate the liberation of Eindhoven at the end of the second World War\, a route has been created which is decorated by beautiful works of art using lights. We will follow in the steps of the liberating forces\, by biking over (part of) this route\, and taking pictures along the way. This is a great place to make some nice bokeh pictures and play with interesting lighting.\n\nThis will be our open activity of the month\, so also non-members are welcome! You will need a bicycle for this activity.\n\nWe will gather near the bike racks at the Luna building\, on TU/e campus.

By lighting a wad of steel wool on fire we will make sparks fly like stars from the sky. Then by taking long exposures\, we can create beautiful shots like this one. Just know: we will be bringing the heat 🔥

Whether you are a member or not\, we’ll surely have a blast together! 💥 \nThis activity is all about street photography! Although the name is somewhat misleading in a way\, because we’re not going to take pictures of the pavement but of things on the street. \nStreet photography is easy to pick up yet sometimes hard to execute training in photography. However\, very interesting for beginning photographers and the masters of the craft. \nIf you are somewhat shy to talk to strangers or people you don’t know this is the workshop for you! \nIn this workshop we will go through all the do’s and don’ts and tips and tricks before going through the streets of Eindhoven centrum to take our own pictures. We will split up in small groups so that everyone can perform this exercise (with at least every group one camera. If you have your own camera bring it with you! Smartphones are not really suitable for this activity\, but it is possible). The focus lays on: getting over the fear of using a camera on the street and communicating with strangers\, using your camera quickly\, being creative\, some camera settings\, and lots of “just do it”!

If you have your own camera\, please bring it! In case not\, no worries; we will be photographing in groups\, so one camera per group will be enough.
